Froch is heading into an all-British showdown with Groves on Nov. 23 knowing the clock is ticking on his thrilling career.

The Groves war will be a treat for UK fans, but Froch craves the big stage, claiming in the Sun promoter Eddie Hearn is already working on his next opponent, as reported byESPN.co.uk:
I'm told my promoter Eddie Hearn has already spoken to the American TV company HBO about a big fight against Chavez Jnr.
But, from what I understand, HBO are more interested to see me in againstGolovkin because there are not too many willing to fight him.
Sure, Golovkin is frightening but I fear no man. It would be an unbelievable super-fight that would get everybody excited - him or Chavez Jr.
At 36 years of age Froch has to cash in on the reputation he has finally established after years of being ignored by the major television organisations.
His two classics with Mikkel Kessler have confirmed the Brit as one of the most thrilling boxers on the planet, and Andre Ward is the only opponent he has not beaten in his career.
That Ward fight—despite the loss—helped put Froch on the U.S. radar, and huge victories over Lucian Bute, Yusaf Mack and Kessler have followed.
The Groves bout is not expected to trouble Froch unduly. On paper the veteran has more experience, greater power and a superior chin to his compatriot.
So it makes sense that he is planning ahead.
Chavez Jr. is the former WBC middleweight champion and son of former four-time champ Julio Cesar Chavez. His name carries much weight, and he went 52 fights unbeaten before losing to Sergio Martinez in September 2012, per BoxRec.
Golovkin—currently the WBA and IBO middleweight king— would undoubtedly be the tougher fight. He has knocked out 24 of 27 opponents, per BoxRec, winning the other three, and is considered a beast at the weight class.
Matthew Macklin didn’t see a fourth round against Golovkin in their June collision, and, should Froch set up a bout with the 31-year-old, he would be facing the biggest puncher of his career.
For now, the Groves fight comes first. But the greatest chapter of Froch’s career is still to be written.
