WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz (45-3, 25 KOs) scored a one-sided tenth round technical decision over #10 rated Yuzo Kiyota (23-4-1, 21 KOs) on Saturday night at the EnergieVerbund Arena in Dresden, Germany.
In a dirty bout with lots of holding, the bout went to the scorecard after 40 seconds of the tenth round due to a cut over Kiyota’s left eye. Scores were 99-90, 100-89, 99-90 for Stieglitz. Kiyota was deducted a point in round five for hitting on the break.
WBO/WBF female middleweight champion Christina Hammer (15-0, 7 KOs) retained her title by ten round unanimous decision over Mikaela Lauren (19-3, 7 KOs). Scores were 100-90, 99-91, 98-92. Hammer-Lauren got a bit of extra publicity due to an incident during Friday’s weigh-in when Lauren suddenly kissed her on the lips during a tense faceoff. “I am very happy to have won, and I got a little revenge for the kiss of Mikaela Lauren along with it.”
WBO European middleweight beltholder Lukas Konecny (50-4, 23 KOs) won a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision over Moez Fhima (22-3-1, 8 KOs). Scores were 119-108, 118-109, 117-110.
In a clash for the vacant German heavyweight championship, Michael Wallisch (10-0, 7 KOs) needed just 47 seconds to destroy Alexander Kahl (18-10-1, 16 KOs).
Light heavyweight contender Robin Krasniqi (40-3, 15 KOs) outpointed Czech journeyman Tomas Adamek (20-9-1, 7 KOs) over eight rounds by scores of 78-75, 77-75, 77-75. It was Krasniqi’s first fight since his unsuccessful world title challenge against Nathan Cleverly.
Axel Schulz’ super middleweight discovery Dario Bredicean (4-0, 2 KO) scored a third round KO over January Zechmeister (2-1, 1 KO).
