Molina destroys Bey in 10th

#6 IBF lightweight contender John Molina (26-3, 21 KO’s) game from behind to get a 10th round stoppage win over the much faster Mickey Bey (18-1-1, 9 KO’s) at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Things were looking pretty bleak for Molina going into the 10th round, but he was able to hurt Bey with a big left hand bomb.

After Molina had Bey hurt, he flurried on him until the fight was halted by the referee at 2:01 of the round. Bey needed to play it safe in the 10th, but instead of elected to trade with Molina and it cost him the fight.

Molina, 30, came into the fight having lost two out of his last three fights. Molina had been stopped in the 1st round by Antonio DeMarco and defeated by Andrey Klimov in losing a 10 round majority decision.
