Yesterday at the Grand hotel, Brussels, superstar Jean-Claude Van Damme was among a select public of boxing personalities and former Belgian boxers to attend the 1st Belgian Golden Gloves Awards. Alex Miskirtchian a former EBU champion, was elected best Belgian boxer of 2012 by Belgian sportjournalists. Miskirtchian is scheduled to fight Sofiane Takoucht of France on January 11 in a IBF eliminator.

Daniel Van de Wiele: Best Belgian ringofficial.
The only missing was Delfine Persoon in trainingscamp in Spain for her upcoming fight on Oct 4 in Gent. She received the award of best female professional boxer 2012.
The event was an excellent initiative from Marc Duvinage and promoter/manager Alain Vanacker.
