Marco Huck has injured elbow

Cruiserweight titlist Marco Huck has injured his left elbow, forcing him to postpone his rematch with former titleholder Firat Arslan, according to Sauerland Event managing director Chris Meyer.Meyer said that Huck fractured his left elbow during his final sparring session on Friday in advance of the fight, which was scheduled to take place on Sept. 14 at Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle in Stuttgart, Germany.
"He will be out for some weeks," Meyer told ESPN.com on Sunday. "We will reschedule the Arslan bout. What will happen to the undercard is not yet decided. We hope to match Arslan still versus a good opponent that could make a good TV bout. We will decide that [on Monday]."
Huck and Arslan first met on Nov. 3 and, in an all-action fight, Huck won a highly competitive and disputed unanimous decision on scores of 117-111, 115-113 and 115-113. It was such a good fight, and many thought that Arslan had done enough to win, that it set the stage for the eventual rematch, although both fighters won interim bouts.
Huck (36-2-1, 25 KOs), 28, who was born in Serbia but lives in Germany, defeated rival Ola Afolabi by majority decision on June 8 in their third meeting as Huck upped his record against him to 2-0-1. Arslan (33-6-2, 21 KOs), a 42-year-old southpaw from Germany, rolled to a lopsided 10-round decision against Varol Vekiloglu on April 27.
Huck will be making his 12th title defense in the rematch with Arslan, who held a version of the cruiserweight title from 2007 to 2008.
