Hassan N’Dam N’Jikman versus former Irish Champion Fitzgerald in Spain in December.

THE boxing rumour mill is churning out news of a possible December clash between ‘The Pride of Dublin’ Anthony Fitzgerald former World champion Hassan N’Dam N’Jikman.

Gary Hyde has revealed he is close to announcing a big fight between an Irish middleweight and a well known name sparking fight fans to put forward a host of possible match ups.
However, N’Dam N’Jikman versus former Irish Champion Fitzgerald in Spain in December is  the most prevalent on the rumour round tonight.
Speaking on social media Cork boxing manager Hyde, who didn’t mention any names, claimed the Irish team had agreed to the fight and he was just waiting conformation from the other end.
If indeed, the big fight mentioned is ‘Fitzy’ versus the French-Cameroonian  middleweight it is a great chance for the Dubliner to get back into the big time.
Former WBO world title custodian N’Dam N’Jikman most recent bout was a thrilling 12 round defence against Peter ‘Kid Chocolate’ Quillin live on HBO.
Quillin knocked N’Dam down six times in the fight, 2 times in the 4th, 2 times in the 6th and 2 times in the 12th to seal the victory. The final judges scores were 115-107, 115-107 and 115-107.

Quillin had N’Dam on the canvas six times in about he eventually won by a score of 115-107, 115-107, 115-107.
The 27-1 fighter has Andy Lee and Affif Belghecham in common with Fitzgerald, whose last outing was a classic Irish Title bout with IBF Top 15 fighter Eamonn O’Kane, which he lost.
N’Dam defeated Belghecham, a fighter Fitzgerald stopped on the under card of Willie Casey’s WBA title reverse to the Hyde manged Gullerimo Rigondeaux  over 10 rounds and defeated Lee, the Irish middleweight contender who beat ‘Fitzy’ on points in Belfast last year, by a paper thin decision in the 2004 Sydney Olympics.

Victory in Spain in December, if indeed the fight is made, would leave Fitzgerald start 2014 as a top 10 fighter.

Hassan D'Dam will fight Golovkin in the US when Hassan is ready. Hassan hasn't fought in over a year and once he gets back into the grove he will take on Golovkin. As Hassan is the only 160lb fighter at the present time who can beat Golovkin it would be a shame to throw this opportunity away by fighting him right now. 2014 GGG will be dethroned. FACT
